Individual Therapy

In my sessions, you can expect that your body will always be part of the conversation. I use somatic practices inspired by Somatic Experiencing and Polyvagal Theory, as well as yoga and mindfulness. I also incorporate more traditional “talk therapy” from psychodynamic, depth and existential traditions.

I am currently seeing clients in-person in my Madison Valley office as well as online via Zoom.

Anxiety can sneak up on us after a crisis or life transition, or it can be something we have known intimately most of our lives. Either way, individual sessions are not only a way to explore and work with our uncomfortable symptoms in a safe container, it is also a place to make sense of how they came to be in the first place. Because of this, other issues I work with in my practice are:

- grief and loss

- life transitions (divorce, new baby, graduating college, moving, getting married)

- new motherhood and postpartum issues

- developmental trauma and attachment wounds

- lack of meaning/purpose in life
